Privacy Policy
The numbers you enter into any calculator on this site are never transmitted to us. All calculations run in your browser and the values are discarded when you close the tab.
Information we collect directly
Calculator inputs: none. Every tool on savingsgoal.org is a static page with client-side JavaScript. Your income, balances, and goals are processed entirely on your own device. There is no account system, no login, and no server-side storage of your figures.
Email correspondence. If you email us, we retain your message and address for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and to keep a record of corrections. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Shareable links. Calculators mirror your inputs into the page's query string so results can be bookmarked or shared. That URL sits in your own browser history. If you share the link, you are sharing the figures it contains — we have no access to it either way.
Third-party advertising
This site is funded by display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may opt out of third-party vendor cookies generally at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Advertising partners may collect your IP address, device and browser characteristics, approximate location, and pages viewed. They do not receive the values you type into calculators, because those values never leave your device.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are used and how quickly they load. It is added to pages by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, as they are served. It is cookieless, sets no identifier, and does not track you across sites or sessions.
It records the page path, referring site, approximate country, coarse device and browser information, and page performance timings. We also see the aggregate request and bandwidth counts that any web server records in order to serve a page.
Query strings are not recorded. This matters here specifically: our calculators keep your figures in the address bar so that results can be bookmarked and shared, which means a full URL can contain your income, balances, or debts. Cloudflare Web Analytics deliberately discards query strings to avoid collecting sensitive data, so those values are never transmitted to it. They remain on your device and in any link you choose to share.
Because no cookie is set and no individual is identified, this analytics does not require consent under the GDPR and gives us no ability to recognise a returning visitor.
Cookies
SavingsGoal sets no first-party tracking cookies of its own. Cookies present on the site are placed by the advertising vendors described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators will continue to work normally without them.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where personalised advertising requires consent, that consent is requested through a consent management prompt and may be withdrawn at any time. Our lawful basis for serving non-personalised advertising and for responding to correspondence is legitimate interest; for personalised advertising it is consent.
Your rights under the CCPA and CPRA
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — a definition that, under California law, can include the transfer of identifiers to advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising. To opt out, use the advertising opt-out links above or email us. We do not knowingly sell personal information and we do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Because calculator inputs are never collected, there is nothing to retain or breach. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months. The site is served over HTTPS as static files from a global edge network.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
